NATASHA ICKES-SAMAN: from homeless 6 Figures

As a child I dealt with abandonment and low self esteem. At 9 years old I stood with a knife to my wrist contemplating taking my own life. By the time I was 16 I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills in a suicide attempt which left me hospitalized.

The following years were spent homeless and addicted in one of the most violent cities in the country- Oakland, CA.

The cold nights huddled in my car under a blanket were a motivation to turn my life around. Despite my circumstances I always felt a calling on my life. I knew that God had bigger plans than the pain I was living.

By my early 20’s I was determined to turn things around. With faith, hard work and a radical shift in mindset I created the life of my dreams.

First step was getting clarity. I always loved doing hair and decided to get my license. By 26 I was making 6 figures and able to open my own salon- Shear Passion.

Not only is it still successfully running today, but we also regularly go into the community providing free haircuts and styles for homeless men, women and children. We have served everyone from veterans to chronically and terminally ill children. I always tell my clients that your legacy is your impact- who do you touch and whose life do you change for the better?

I stepped out on faith and wrote a memoir entitled Overcoming: A Journey From Pain to Peace, Purpose and Power.

It went on to be a best seller and is now on Amazon and multiple book stores across the country!
